Technical Sales Engineer (North) £45,000 - £50,000 basic, plus bonus, Car/car allowance, laptop, mobile & benefits Client, Job Role, and expectations Our client is a well-respected organisation in the field of Automation Safety and Energy Control, and has seen continued growth over the last 5 years. This growth, linked with several exclusive distribution agreements means the business is ideally looking to appoint a number of professionals over the forthcoming years. Initially the company is partnering with Charlesworth Kennedy to source a high-quality Technical Sales Engineer (North). This is a home-based role and will require extensive travel. The business already has a mixtures of quality end user customers, OEM's and distributer accounts (valued at circa £700K) and are looking for an experienced sales professional to drive that business forward whilst increasing these numbers through new business sales. The role of Technical Sales Engineer will be to offer adequate product solutions to customers by identifying their needs through actively listening to their challenges whilst building and maintaining strong long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Therefore, the successful candidate will have the commercial experience, self-motivation and drive to achieve these objectives. The candidate will need the passion and drive for new business whist believing in the values that the client stands for. The qualities of the successful candidate will include an enthusiastic approach to business development, account management and new business sales. Ideally the successful candidate will live in the North of England and have a proven track record of selling relevant industrial products, preferably machine safety products, either electrical, electromechanical or modular. However, candidates from allied markets will also be considered such as drives and controls, motors, PLC's / SCADA, sensors, connectors. ATEX and monitoring devices. Ultimately a strong knowledge of OEM's and end users, along with the key decision makers within, will be the main concern regarding candidate suitability. Role responsibilities Support, review and execute the Go-To-Market strategy to maximise sales and profit growth Identify and appoint quality distributers, OEM s and End Users and become their trusted partner and motivator regarding safety expertise Identify key regional and national end users, OEM and engineering/ automations businesses which can be supplied directly Understand and interpret their customer's demands to offer the perfect tailored solution while maximising profit Research prospective key accounts in target markets, pursue leads and open doors to finally follow through to a successful agreement Experience Ideally Degree educated (or equivalent) Ideally 10 years+ experience in developing existing customers, attracting new customers and relationship management Proven track record of sales growth performance within automation and control products, or machine safety Proven negotiation skills and the ability to consistently close profitable deals. Excellent presentation and communication skills Confident in presenting pitches to key customers for product development and new products A willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals Natural commercial mindset with exceptional great communication, emotional intelligence, and strong sales skills Strategic thinker, effective at using data, logic and instincts to identify problems and execute solutions at scale Package / Remuneration: The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following: Basic Salary: Between £45,000 - £50,000 Company Car: Car or Car Allowance Bonus/Commission: OTE bonus TBC Additional: Pension, laptop, mobile phone Contact James Dawson Lead Consultant
