Quality Inspector x2 - Job Summary: We re supporting our client, a leading precision Machining company based in Birmingham, who are looking for two Quality Inspectors to join their growing team. The successful Quality Inspectors will have experience of PCDMIS programming & inspection capability with Aerospace experience. Salary: £35,000 Benefits: To be discussed at interview Job Type: Permanent Location: Birmingham Job Start date: ASAP Responsibilities: Compliance with Health and Safety legislation and maintaining a hazard-free environment. Deputising for the Lead Inspector in their absence. General inspection of components throughout the manufacturing process. Programming and operation of CMMs (PC-DMis). Recording of dimensional results. Early escalation of quality issues. Record and report on all non-conformances related to the company. Apply the necessary corrective and preventive actions to prevent non-conformances. Ensure document control within the QMS is maintained. Create & Submit FAIR packs. Create Purchase Orders for subcontracted works. Complete and support corrective and preventative actions. Liaise with internal functions to support production & engineering development activities. Liaise with external customers on product quality-related issues. Ensure measuring devices calibration records are maintained. Maintaining customer confidentiality. Maintaining records, as applicable. Support the internal and external calibration processes. Adhering to the company s Quality Management System at all times. About You: Essential 5 years minimum in a high precision manufacturing environment. Knowledge of QMS including ISO 9001 and AS9100. Understanding of NPI gateways and product approval processes. Thorough understanding of the applicable regulations and standards of the Aerospace / Marine / similar industries. CMM Programming (PC-DMis) Detailed skills and experience in Metrology and CMM programming. Evidence of continued professional study. High level of computer competency. Outstanding organisational skills. Interpersonal skills. Communication skills. Numeracy skills (trigonometry). Desirable Auditor/quality accreditation. Leadership experience. A Higher Level qualification in an Engineering or QA-based discipline. Using own initiative within defined procedures and policies. Presenting information in a logical, clear and concise format and communicating this effectively, both verbally and in writing. Working collaboratively with a range of colleagues. Managing own workload. Identifying priorities quickly and accurately and ensuring that deadlines are met. Analysing data and information and advising on findings and solutions.
