Procurement Manager Respected manufacturer Attractive salary and benefits Great team culture The role: We are seeking to recruit a Procurement Manager who is energetic, dynamic and has a track record of meaningful improvement driven by data coupled with robust and agile procurement management practices. Having responsibility for managing the purchasing team, day to day purchasing as well as supporting the implementation of the Supply Chain Strategy for site, special projects, and contract negotiations. Key tasks and responsibilities: Manage and lead a team of buyer expeditors to meet department objectives. Understand the Value Chain and challenge materials, specifications, suppliers etc to deliver value improvements. Purchase a diverse range of goods and services with responsibility for the whole procurement cycle and supply chain process. Work with other Functions (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, H&S) to ensure that targets (currently OTIF and Non-Compliances) are achieved. Receive input from engineering, production, and service departments; organise, prioritise, delegate, coordinate and monitor purchasing requirements and source parts on time and on cost. Work in conjunction with operations to ensure availability of stock is maintained and available on time and responsibility for purchased stock levels. Planning and risk management of potential variable impacts. Plan and execute negotiations for both formal tenders and ad-hoc activities ensuring that the Business obtains best value on all its spend. As the leader in Procurement you will help build and implement key enablers (tools, templates, systems, etc.) to raise team capabilities to deliver best-in-class support to all customers. Drive continuous improvement and culture change. About you: Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. Significant purchasing experience at a senior level. Proven ability to negotiate, manage and further develop supplier relationships. Line management experience for a small team Strong IT skills including MRP/ERP systems. Data driven and adept in analysis. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. Manufacturing / supply chain related professional qualification (CIPS) (MCIPS).
