If so, my Client is seeking a Head of Work Winning to head up a new Work Winning department. You will be comfortable building a pipeline of new business and converting this into successful contracts to meet the business growth targets, financially and operationally. Provide strategic support to the business to enable it to successfully develop revenue in sustainable markets/ work streams and grow the business by winning more! THE ROLE: Create and implement an overall business strategy, to meet financial and growth targets. Build and manage the work winning department. Ensuring that high quality, competitive proposals are identified and then secured. Build a balanced and sustainable pipeline in accordance with the new business strategy. Manage client relationships both existing and new. Undertake market research including specific organisations and competitors to support strategy and an account management approach to converting opportunities. Identify and develop market sector specific strategic partnership opportunities that will add value and secure contracts. Create, adapt and advise on marketing strategies and plans via the provision of 'expert' sector insight, intelligence, and research. Drive any external facing marketing activity. Manage the department budget and lead Bid No Bid process. Contribute to the wider bid team effort, including reviewing solution responses, offering a customer view, raising the bar. Coaching both the bid department team and the wider operational teams. THE PERSON: Will have an established network in the rail and construction industry along with previous experience of managing bid services within these industries. A strong understanding of UK construction, Rail and Signalling market and a comprehensive knowledge of UK public sector procurement including frameworks and in particular rail control period procurement. Target orientated, commercially astute and motivated by targets and business goals A good negotiator with strong influencing skills Strong organisational skills, able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure Able to roll up sleeves and get stuck in to create a successful department Methodical and diligent particularly with problem-solving Collaborative approach which gets results. Managing relationships and influencing at all levels Team player with strong interpersonal skills Excellent communications skills, written and oral along with strong IT skills, A clear understanding of how to match all client and project requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION 5 years bidding experience at a senior level Membership of APMP or similar desirable For more information please contact Tanya Smith at Bid Solutions Limited
