Compliance Manager Location - Crawley Salary - £45k - £50k, dependant on experience We have partnered with a highly well-established "Employer of Choice" seeking a Compliance Manager on a full-time permanent basis. This is the ideal role for an experienced Compliance Manager, preferably within the Legal Sector, to maintain and monitor functional risks and ensuring compliance is in line with the SRA Code of Conduct. As a multi-office Practice, there will be a requirement to attend other offices, a full driving license is a must. Duties Oversee and maintain the accreditation Lexcel Promoting and implementing all staff to work within Best Practice. Highlighting non-compliance issues, liaising with internal staff at all levels Develop and reviewing control systems and processes to prevent any breaches of guidance, policies and procedures. To regularly review and update policies and procedures Maintaining Policies of the firm's Intranet Investigating issues and implementing solutions, ensuring matters are actioned accordingly Assisting with training of both new and existing staff Responsible for the management of the archiving storage - highlighting compliance (retention periods) To maintain the firm's Risk Register, liaising with all Business Support Services TLs and Legal Services HoTs to ensure all relevant areas are up to date. Staying updated of regulatory developments and best practices in compliance control Educating how to maintain and improve compliance Assess with the HoD, future projects to identify potential compliance risks Reviewing documentation and confirming compliance with legal requirements. Supervision of 2 Compliance Team members Undertaking other duties and tasks required of Compliance Manager.The Candidate Technical knowledge and expertise to risk and compliance regulatory processes and matters Experience of working within a professional service (preferably legal) industry knowledge of the Lexcel accreditation Track record of reporting procedures and record keeping; A practical and commercial approach to problem solving; Project management skills - able to multi-task and work under pressure; Good written communication and drafting skills; Strong communication skills; Experience of managing a team; An ICA Diploma or equivalent qualification in International Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering; A Bachelors or Master's Degree Industry Certification A Law Degree Microsoft Applications and Accounting systems.
