North Wales Police are looking for Communication Operators to join their busy team at the Joint Communications Centre in St Asaph in this challenging but highly rewarding role. If you're looking for a chance to make a real difference to the communities of North Wales, this could be the job for you. As a front line call handler, you will be required to answer calls from the public, often in emergency and distressing situations. You will be required to assess those calls and be responsible for directing the level of police response required. The role also involves the dispatching by radio of the various Police resources across North Wales. The role provides individuals an ideal opportunity to those seeking a career within Policing. The details Salary -£11.32 an hour Start date- February 13th Duration- Temporary 6 months Location-St Aspah Monday to Friday only Five day working week, 8 hours per day (including meal break) Shift times will typically be either 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00 Rota known to you well in advanceNorth Wales Police are committed to representing the Welsh Language, and as such we are recruiting for minimum Level 2 Welsh Speakers (understand and participate in basic conversations).
