Amenities Co-Ordinator/Deputy Clerk Are you interested in a fantastic opportunity to help affect change within the town of Sandy? Sandy Town Council has continued to evolve whilst retaining its distinctive setting in a rural environment. We provide a range of varied services for the community, which includes regularly reviewing its activities and looks for new opportunities to provide cost effective services to enhance the experience of living in Sandy. We are currently seeking to appoint an inventive, forward thinking and proactive Amenities Co-Ordinator and Deputy Clerk to support the Town Clerk and elected Councillors in achieving their aims and aspirations for the Council. This is a full time position, and the successful candidate will be required to attend evening meetings and weekend events, for which time off in lieu will be granted. The role includes: • Ensuring that the instructions of the Council are carried out • Managing certain delegated services and responsibilities. • Supporting the Town Clerk in facilitating the implementation of the Council s stand-alone priorities and objectives. A successful candidate: • Must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant experience in a similar, public facing role. • A track record of achievement and innovation, commitment to public service, be motivated, and community focused, • Possess sound, communication, and organisational skills. • Have a knowledge of local government.(not essential) • A certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification (not essential) The closing date for the receipt of applications is 12 Noon on Monday 10th October 2022.
